their shows are always packed here in SF.

They are very talented, just not my cup of tea. Though one of the times I did see them was for an anniversary show at the fillmore. Since it was their anniversary rather than doing a specific show they played a medley, if you will, of top performances of different tunes/eras.

Well I am upfront center stage and arguments were taking place all over about what the date of the show they were performing was? People just didn't understand the announcement that they were performing songs from different shows and not their usual replication of a complete show. Thinking back on it, it was just so funny how people kept trying to determine what single show they were performing the entire night; and then becoming downright defensive that their show date was correct, when it wasn't even a single date. Come to think about it, that goes on around here on occasion.

That night I believe they even had to take a couple out in straitjackets since they couldn't understand how they had never before heard the show that was being performed. Then there where others that thought the band was bad because it didn't sound like a complete show...-)

Anyway, if you have never seen them I would suggest you check them out.

Sounds like Fun

Can anyone say "Hippie Brawl".

I just like to groove to the tunes and Dance till my knees are screaming . . . then dance some more.

that's great, a friendly visit to Ofarrell, although PLF are two weeks later @ the Warfield and Santana @ the Fillmore the same weekend.

yes, I will most likely breakdown and go to the shows at the Great American since I LOVE than venue. One of those venues that is so nice, that I might even consider seeing YANNI there.

btw: good call on the 71 princeton show. I have been stuck in April of 71 for a month or more. It is a great run to say the very least. This afternoon was Princeton and this eve was Allegheny College on 4-15.

they are worth the price of admission. they nail the dead's sound pretty good. i just didn't dig the crowd, lots of young wannabe hippies. some cool older people too, though.
